The Stirling Big Band does a “sterling” job!
KMA was delighted to host the Stirling Big Band from East London on the 25th of April 2023, to create a spontaneous Jazz Concert held in Iziko Lobomi, Imizamo Yethu. Our Junior Jazz Band debuted with their first ever performance and the KMA Jazz Combo presented two new members! Great fun was had all round and got the audience up and jiving as usual. Collaboration is an essential 21st Century skill we learn at KMA, because it develops higher-level thinking, oral communication, self-management, leadership skills, faculty interaction, self-esteem, and responsibility. We extend a very big thank you to Alan Webster and his team from East London who made this magical evening possible.
