KMA Jazz Band at the National Youth Jazz Festival 2022!

After a break for 5 years, the KMA Jazz Band attended the National Youth Jazz Festival in Makhanda. The first live festival since the onslaught of the pandemic, this year was each one of our young people engage in mixed-ability bands and attend 15 performances by musicians from South Africa and all around the world.

The Band had very profound insights about this life-changing experience and, as Simanyene said “I have only played classical music and I thought this would be boring but everything was amazing to me. Every single concert I wanted to be like them. I always find it hard to connect but this trip was very very helpful to me.
